Animal Turn-in Requirements |
Animals are accepted at the Joshua Tree No-Kill Shelter on a space-available basis. No one should bring an animal to the Shelter without first talking to the manager to determine if there is room and if the animal is adoptable.
Medical conditions of an animal may increase the amount of the turn-in fee. Please be aware that, unlike public shelters, the MBHS receives no regular government funding. We exist on donations and the modest fees we charge. That is why we must charge a turn-in fee, even for stray dogs brought in by good Samaritans. |
